Instagram

Despite trying to make time for blogging, it just hasn't been happening.

So if you want to see what I'm up to with running and life, follow along on Instagram. Just search for Bomblet.

And if you wonder why Bomblet, my Husbeast occasionally makes a big deal about me being on the smaller side (I'm 5' 3" so really pretty average but I can't reach stuff). So when I stumbled across a description in a book about an explosive less than 5" and saw it was called a bomblet, I used that as a retort. I may be small, but I'm mighty!

So go. Head to instagram. I probably won't update here again for a long time. And that's the truth of it.

Happy Friday, y'all. I hope you love your life as much as I currently love mine!

Cheating

Cheating is THE WORST.

Seriously.

...unless it's when your cooking. Call it cheating, call it a fake out, whatever. Then it's ok.

Because then you get things like this:
I wanted a loaded baked potato, but only had "cheater spuds" (instant mashed potatoes).

So I made some... Added cheese, some seasoning, poured it over broccoli, added more cheese and bacon, then covered it with foil and baked it for twenty minutes.

Boom. Get in my belly, you delicious bowl of fake baked loaded taters.

Ever throw some things together and just hope it tastes good? How did that work for you?

I make no promises

...but, here I am. Waving hello! And happy to report I found my running mojo again.

All it took was buying some new running bottoms from InknBurn...

Finding my headbands (finally! Some have been missing since the move in November!)....

And signing up for the Route 66 half marathon.

It's on a Sunday, so I won't have to ask for time off. And Tulsa is just a short (by oklahoma standards) drive away, so why not?

I already marked when to begin training in my planner.

I'm finally ready to run again!!!!

What's the longest break you've taken from running?
Longest period of unstructured running? I never stopped running this time, but I will admit, I have only been averaging 1 run per week since arriving in Oklahoma.
