Take a moment today to remember all the veterans, past and present.
I'm lucky enough to have had three grandfathers (divorce math) who served, one uncle, and am now married to the most wonderful man who happens to be a veteran and is still active duty.
If you love our country, thank a veteran. If you love your freedom, thank a veteran. If you are against the war, thank a veteran for volunteering so you didn't have to. If you enjoy protesting and stretching the limits of freedom of speech, you damn well better thank a veteran.
I'm sending molasses cookies in with my husband for his unit to have. It's the best way I know to thank these guys, and so far, they've never complained about dessert!
