Confession!

I don't like fruit in winter. I just don't. None of it tastes as good, and it is a lot more expensive. But, starting in late January, we start getting some semi-appealing fruit again, and I know fruit is good for me, so I try to eat some. But it just isn't something I crave....
Enter the blender! Today, I drank a pound of strawberries and 2 mandarins. Easiest smoothie ever- the only other ingredients are ice, a little water to help it blend, and a spoonful of raspberry preserves for sweetness.
The best part is since it is so cold, it takes me at least an hour to drink, and it keeps me full longer than most of my other snacks would.

Anyone else find it hard to get your daily dose of fruit?

  1. Honestly I really love oranges in the winter which I know is strange but I've been eating them like crazy the past month or so.

  2. My favorite winter fruit is apples and oranges and grapefruits. Also Frozen blueberries are so great in smoothies.
